CPP® 2″ Dry-Shut™ is the valved coupling system itself: a male valved adaptor and a female valved coupler that automatically shut off liquid flow when disconnected.
The Dry-Shut™ coupling profile is designed around ISO 7241-1 Series A (ISO-A). Internal poppets close automatically on disconnection to reduce spillage, product loss and air inclusion, with no external lever or switch required.

The current female coupler uses the newer stainless-steel ball locking system. Product-specific working pressure and flow figures are shown on the individual product pages.
Adaptors & converters
The IBC, drum, Camlock, threaded and hose-tail adaptors used with the Dry-Shut™ system are standard CPP® fittings selected from our other adaptor and converter ranges. They are not separate Dry-Shut™ valved couplings.
These standard fittings are used to connect the 2″ BSPP female ports on the Dry-Shut™ male and female components to IBC outlets, drum threads, Camlock, NPT, BSPP/BSPT threads and hose tails as required.

Important information
As with other ISO-A systems, a small residual volume can remain trapped between the poppets. Approximately 80 ml may discharge during opening/disconnection, so suitable drip trays or bunding should be used where required.
