Product Description

The HMVMN20MM027 is a dual-function pressure and anti-vacuum vent designed for installation into Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs).

During liquid discharge, the vent allows air to enter the container at a vacuum pressure of approximately 0.5–1 PSI (0.03–0.07 bar), helping to prevent vacuum formation, panel distortion and IBC collapse.

The vent also releases excess internal pressure at approximately 3–4 PSI (0.21–0.28 bar), helping to protect the container against pressure build-up caused by filling, storage, transport or changes in temperature.

The robust glass-filled polypropylene construction provides excellent chemical resistance for use across a wide range of industrial and chemical-handling applications.

Typical Applications

  • Decanting liquids from IBCs, including repeated dispensing in 1–20 litre quantities
  • Preventing panel deformation and container collapse during discharge
  • Relieving internal pressure build-up during filling, storage or transport
  • Industrial and chemical liquid-handling systems
  • Reusable IBC installations requiring combined pressure and vacuum protection

Key Benefits

  • Combined pressure-relief and anti-vacuum operation
  • Pressure relief at approximately 3–4 PSI (0.21–0.28 bar)
  • Vacuum relief at approximately 0.5–1 PSI (0.03–0.07 bar)
  • Compatible with 2″ BSP and 2″ NPS IBC connections
  • Helps protect IBCs from vacuum collapse and pressure deformation
  • Durable glass-filled polypropylene construction
  • Polypropylene-based elastomer seals
  • Corrosion-resistant 316 stainless steel spring
  • Simple screw-in installation
